Health Remedies - Emphysema

Product Categories

Emphysema is a long-term, progressive disease of the lung that primarily causes shortness of breath. The disorder is caused by the enlargement of air sacs in the lungs and the normal elasticity of lung is lost. With progressive inelasticity of the lungs, the small airways collapse on expiration, making it impossible to fully exhale stale air. A major cause of emphysema is smoking. Hence the disease is more common in men between the ages of 50 and 70. Other causes include exposure to chemical fumes, pollution, HIV infection etc. In addition to shortness of breath, the patient may experience fatigue, recurrent respiratory infections and weight loss.
